Share My Hike is committed to protecting your privacy while providing the best tools to document your adventure.

1. Data Collection

To improve user experience and ensure technical stability, we now collect certain types of data:

• Usage Data: Anonymous information about how you interact with features (e.g., sticker usage, viewing statistics).

Note: We do not store precise GPS location data on our servers. Your hiking statistics are calculated locally on your device based on the information you provide.

2. Personally Identifiable Information

The app does not require account creation. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number for marketing purposes, unless you contact us directly for technical support.

3. Local Storage

Most of your hiking data (distance hiked, zero days, progress, etc.) remains stored locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services and Purchases

• In-App Purchases (Premium): Transactions are processed by the Apple App Store. We use industry-standard services (like RevenueCat) to manage subscriptions, but we never have access to your credit card information.
• Dynamic Content: Certain assets (stickers, configurations) are loaded from external services such as GitHub Pages or Sanity.io.

5. Ads and Tracking

We do not use third-party advertising networks or profiling for commercial purposes.

6. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features or changes in how Share My Hike operates.
